问题不是你为[屏蔽]局做什么事，而是你为何不为[屏蔽]局做事？
威尔：

我为何不为国安局做事？这是个很难的问题。让我想想，若我做了，国安局会给我[屏蔽]不了的密码。或许我试了，也[屏蔽]了，我很满意，因为表现良好。但或许那个密码的位置，是出于北非或中东的叛军驻地。他们发现后，就会轰炸叛军藏身之处，陌生的一千五百人因此丧命。然后，政客派特战[屏蔽]防守该区。他们才不在乎，因为，被射杀的不是他们的子女。因为他们都加入了后备[屏蔽]；而在那边中弹的南区孩子，回国后发现他们以前工作的工厂，现在转移到他去打仗的国家，害他中弹的敌人抢了他的饭碗——因为他一天的工资只需要一元。最后他发现，他会上战场，是为了得到该国的廉价原油，好让石油公司利用战争恐慌，抬高国内油价，小赚一番。但是，两块五一加仑有个屁用，他们得花时间把石油运回国内。或许还请了个酗酒的船长，他爱喝马丁尼，跟冰山玩滑雪，不久他撞上冰山，原油泄漏，杀光北大西洋的所有海洋生物。现在我朋友失业，也开不起车，他走路去面谈，很难受，因为炮弹片让他慢性出血；他也很饿，因为每次吃东西，唯一的特餐就是北大西洋鳕鱼。

所以，你以为我会怎么想？

我有个更好的点子。干！我干脆我把朋友干掉算了，把工作给敌人，抬高油价，轰炸村庄，猎杀小海豹，吸食大麻，加入后备[屏蔽]

——靠！我还可因此被选为总统！

SEAN ： Oh, Christ. But, Will, she's been dead two years, and that's the shit I remember. It's wonderful stuff, you know? Little things like that. Ah, but, those are the things I miss the most. You don't know about real loss……'cause that only occurs when you love something more than you love yourself.I doubt you've ever dared to love anybody that much. I look at you.I don't see an intelligent, confident man. I see a cocky, scared-shitless kid. But you're a genius, Will. No one denies that. No one could possibly understand the depths of you. But you presume to know everything about me, because you saw a painting of mine. You ripped my fuckin' life apart. You're an orphan, right? Do you think I know the first thing about how hard your life has been? How you feel? Who you are? Because I read Oliver Twist? Does that encapsulate you? Personally, I don't give a shit about all that. Because you know what? I can't learn anything from you I can't read in some fuckin' book. Unless, you wanna talk about you…who you are. Then I 'm fasci ated. I'm in. But you don't want to do that, do you, sport? You're terrified of what you might say.
