其实应该很早就发出来的, 但由于各种原因, 才拖到现在. 为了锻炼自己的英语, 也为了锻炼大家的英语:) 我会尽最大努力用英文注释, 但对于拿捏不准的词句, 我会用中文表达以免造成误解. 对于我一般般的英语, 还请大家多多包函.

由于图片太多, 注释量巨大(我都是在线写注释, 简直就像写英语作文), 因此要发很久, 请大家耐心等候, 发完时我会更改主题标题, 把后面的括号去掉.

[12.31晚更新] 我算了一下, 总共有三百多个图片要发送, 按每天100附件的限制也要发三天, 而且网络掉包现象严重, 极为影响速度. 因此我决定还是有空就发几帖吧, 一次性发完真是吃不消 大家可以随意回复, 不用等我全发完了.

July 18th 2004, one of the most exciting day in my life.

Last summer vacation, i was very lucky to get an opportunity to take a trip to Europe, along with other 23 students & 5 teachers of Shenzhen Polytech(深圳高等职业技术学院). My father works at that school, thats how i got the opportunity, i just join the team. Actually these students are the best students there. This trip is an encouragement arranged by the school, that is to say, the school paid for the expense. i'm an exception of course, my father paid for me. Plus the tour-guide and the driver, our team consists of 30 ppl.

The trip took 14 days, 8 countries were included. They are:
1. Italy;
2. Vatican;
3. Austria;
4. Germany;
5. Luxemburg;
6. France;
7. Belgium;
8. Holland.

At the beginning we planed to travel 9 countries, besides the 8 ones above, Britain was in our list too. But unfortunately, just several days before we set off, a few ShangHai students made some unpleasant record in Britain, i'm not sure whether it's true, we just heard that those ShangHai students were also travellers, but without knowing why, we heard they refuse to come back-_-. After that incident, British government reject all tour passport of Chinese students, including our team. The British government's reaction was so fast... Whatever, the number 9 became 8 on our list. But interestingly, NONE of us feel bad about that, coz the trip was so great, we don't even have a chance to think about any unhappy things^_^ The cost for each person is 20k RMB, including almost everything. If u don't want to buy anything in Europe(that's impossible lol~~), u don't have to take any money.

The trip lasts from July 18th to July 30th, i'm sure there's no way for us to forget that experience. It was just...GREAT!

Almost all of the pictures posted here are taken by myself, please forgive my poor skill. If i post some pictures which are taken by others, i will mark them. I've taken about 1000 photographs in those days, the ones u see here is the ones i selected from them.

Everything began with a flight ticket ^_^

This is my flight ticket, from HongKong to Rome. We chose Cathay Pacific（香港国泰航空）, the biggest airline company in HongKong and in China! Surprisingly the ticket is very simple, only "one page". But gives far better feelings than domestic airline company's flight ticket. As u can see, there are all English on an international flight's ticket.

HongKong Airport. We were waiting for our plane when i took this picture. This is the most beautiful & elegant airport i have ever seen. Its facilities are very advanced. This is also the biggest airport in China, everyday hundreds of thousands of ppl pass through here. Our plane took off in about 11:30pm, local time.

Just got on board. Our plane was a Boeing-747. So far the biggest & the fastest aerobus, which can contain more than 500 ppl, in extreme conditions it can accelerate to 1.0 mach number(which is the velocity of sound), about 1224 kph.

Due to it was almost 12 o'clock pm. most plane was parked at the airport, most of them belongs to HongKong airline companies. We saw a lot of 747s marked with a "Cathay Pacific" sign on the tail. From that we could tell Cathay Pacific is definitely a huge company. We doubt the whole China mainland doesn't have that much 747s...

I was really lucky! I got a window-seat(靠窗座位)! The 747 have 10 seats every row, there should be only 20% possibility to get a window seat. After seated, i immediately took my camera out and shot...

747's wing is so big, it looked terrible. it's much spectacular than the photograph.

Inside the plane.

u can see there are so much room inside the 747. Different from small airplanes, on 747, crewman were separated into groups, each group only take responsibilities for one section. This is because the plane is so big, passengers must be divided into sections to serve.

飞机内部.

可以见到747的内部有多么宽敞的空间, 与很多小飞机不同, 在747上, 乘务员被分成若干个小组, 每个小组只对一小段的乘客负责. 这是因为飞机太大了, 乘客必须被分成若干个部分来让乘务员服务.

Look what we got, we got TV! The programs are very rich, during the flight, passengers can enjoy movies, tv programs, musics, even simple video games! if u don't like any of them, u can watch the flight statistics channel. That is super advanced! u can know the exact location of the plane, as shown on the picture; u can know real-time plane status, such as attitude, speed, air speed, air temperature. u can also know the local time(HongKong) and the destination time(Rome). When i was tooking the picture, the captain of that flight was introducing himself through audio. i can tell he's not a Chinese, he spoke so fast in English that i can hardly heard what he said :(

The movie channel provides a great amount of movies. Only to find out how many movies did the plane have took me more than ten minutes! It's worth mentioning that it provides many newest movies, such as "Hellboy", which was just finished not long before.

Besides, passengers can also watch other programs, including ESPN sports, DISCOVERY channels, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC channels...the contents r not unlimited but they r enough for u to enjoy during the flight.

The flight took about 13 hours, about 10 hours of which was in dark. (our plane fly from east to west, across almost half of the earth).

This picture is taken after the long dark. U can see the morning sunshine shone on the wing. I remember then we were just entering Europe continent. the sea on picture should be the Mediterranean Sea.

Here a breathtaking accident happend, while i was looking out of the window, a small plane rush beside ours, it's heading to the opposite direction. Only at most two hundred meters from us at the closest distance. It happened so fast that only me in us noticed that, i even had not seen what kind of plane that was! the only thing i'm sure is its engine is airscrew(螺旋桨), not turbofan(扇涡轮) which is used in most aerobuses, like 747. i'm sure that's an accident coz the air traffic control won't let two plane fly at that close distance, not even to say these two planes were heading towards different directions.

This pic is taken when we were about to land. Our plane was adjusting its flight status, preparing to land.

The pilots opens the flaps(襟翼), as shown on the photography. The size of the wing increased almost 2 times! This can tremendously increase the rise force, especially when the plane is at low speed. It's common to see flaps opened when a plane is taking off or landing.

Successfully landed on Rome airport.

I noticed the landing action was so gentle of a hugh plane. it's hardly to sense the impact when landing.
