        本次活动内容选自DISCOVERY探索发现频道, 是国外著名的科教节目, 发音标准清晰,非常有利于提高听力, 不管是四六级还是托福听力都会有所帮助,当然, 考试不是目的, 大家看了视频能多了解些知识就好.

A coral snake searches for a place to drink and finds enough rainwater in a curled leaf. The bright bands of color warns predators that it's poisonious. Below this thin layer of leaves lies the forest's soil. And a paradox, for the luxuriant vegetation of rainforest is often based on an impoverished soil.  The explanation lies on the way the forest recycles its nutrients. Dead trees and fallen leaves rot quickly. And the nutrients are rapidly reabsorbed by fungus and tiny roots near the surface. The entire system is so efficient that little is lost. Fully 95% of rainforest's nutrients are held in the living vegetation. Harly any in the soil. To shed its old skin coral snake rubs its body against rough surfaces and the leaf litter.
