    The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack on the Iraqi parliament on Thursday. One member of the parliament was killed in the explosion which occurred in the parliament's cafeteria within the heavily fortified green zone compound in Baghdad.     The fifteen-member UN Security Council issued a statement condemning in the strongest terms what it called the terrorist attack targeting the democratic elected council of representatives. Terrorism constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security, said the statement and any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable. All countries in the United Nations were reminded of their obligation to cooperate with the Iraqi authorities to bring the organizers and sponsors of such terrorist acts to justice.

    With Nigerians going to the polls in nationwide elections in the few hours, there are concerns over security and regularity of polling. The head of European Union's Observer Mission MD told the BBC that very few observers have received their accreditation cards and would doubt so whether the voters have been registered correctly.

    "We are seeing samples where \ faces were not in. Our people are looking clearly under the age of 18.So there are questions that the national observers they say we are blocked because accreditation cards were not delivered or very few, that means a lot of them, we were talking about ten to thirty thousand people might not be allowed to enter in the polling station."
