The Russian president Vladimir Putin says Georgia's arrest and detention of four Russian army officers on spying charges is an act of state terrorism involving hostage taking. In his first comments on the escalating riot between the two countries, Mr. Putin accused Georgian leaders of following in the footsteps of one of the Soviet Union most notorious politians stolen secret police chief . But a Georgian Member of Parliament said Mr. Putin's comments took the riot to new level.

Medical workers in the Gaza Strip say eight people have been killed in clashes between security forces loyal to the Palestinian president Mamoud Abas and members of militia set up by the governing Hamas movement. Many others were said to have been injured in gun battles across the territory. The clashes followed the protest by the security forces about to the non-payment of their salaries by the Hamas led Palestinian government. The Prime minister said Palestinians should stop the violence and unite in phase of Israel's threat to increase its military action in Gaza.
I appealed to all citizens to be responsible and patient and to abandon their differences, especially the time when we are facing a dangerous escalation by the Israeli occupation forces. We re threatened to widen the scale of their aggression on Gaza.

Police in the Zambian capital Lusaca have used tear gas and arrested a number of opposition supporters as they protested over the latest figures in the presidential election which showed their candidate in failed place. Micheal Shater has initially been ahead of the votes of last weeks, election was counted. But today the electoral commission announced that with the results from most of the constituencies in his share of vote had dropped to 27%.

The Austrian interior ministry's announced that with most of the votes counted, the opposition social democrats have won a surprised narrow victory in the general election. The Social Democrat leader AG is now expected to oust a form of the next government. It was disappointing result for Chancellor WS his People's Party dropped 8 percent since the last election in 2002. The Far right freedom party is currently in third place with 11% followed closely by the Greens, a 10%. And the Far Right party founded by YH the aliens for the Future of Austria seems from now to have just made it into parliament with 4%.

The government in the Canadian province of Quebec has ordered the public inquiry into wire flyover collapsed on Saturday on to a busy road in the suburb of north of Montreal. Five people died in the incident and four others were injured. Rescuers were working through the night used cranes to try to reach crushed vehicles under tons of concrete rubble. Nick Carter reports from Toronto.

So far, officials have been unable to explain how the east bound lanes of the busiest flyover suddenly dropped onto the motorway below. It will now be up to the public inquiry to find answers about the question. The Quebec ministry of transport says the bridge was built 35 years ago and should have lifespan of 70 years. The structure passed an inspection last year, but officials from the ministry also acknowledged that only an hour before the incident some pieces of concrete are falling from the flyover onto the roadway below. Transport workers cleaned up the debris but the bridge was left open.

Security officials in Iraq said gunmen have seized 26 workers from a food processing factory in Baghdad. Officials said the gunmen were wearing civilian clothes; however it was not immediately declared who they were or whether their motive were sectarian or criminal. It's the latest in series of raids in the Iraqi capital in which large numbers of people have been taken by unidentified men.
