放眼歌坛，能让人肃然起敬的乐队寥寥无几，U2 是其中之一。这支 80 年代英国最受瞩目的爱尔兰摇滚乐队，从 1977 年就开始了他们的音乐生涯，当时乐团主要成员还都在都柏林上中学。最初一段时间曾演奏过滚石及海难男孩乐队的精典曲目，并为乐队起名为 Feedback。后来他们还将名字改为Hype，但最终还是在 1978 年确定为 U2。那个年代，被滚石[屏蔽]称为 U2 的十年。转眼二十九年过去了，他们依然摇滚，并且，依然流行。他们自始至终都坚持着自己的宗旨和信仰，信奉着什么、刻画着什么。如他们的一些针贬时弊的作品，他们唱到做到，80 年代后一直致力于反战、自由等事业，他们绝对是实至名归的一支最伟大的乐队。大叔们的音乐里散发着不言而喻的[屏蔽]和力量，主唱情感炽热的性格演唱和招牌的吉他节奏再加上歌曲流露出的人文情怀风格，都让人深深动容和深深难忘。每年的各种音乐盛典似乎总能看到 Bono 大叔的身影和墨镜，年头的48届格莱美就五发全中，去年的也是三提三中，端的就是极度老当益壮，玩地下音乐起家能玩成这样，实在只此一家了吧。我印象最深刻的还是这张拿了七项格莱美大奖的超级年度唱片《All That You Can't Leave Behind》(2000)，以及点睛之作 Walk On，出走，里面就有这句歌词：无法放低！ [attachment=803487]

All That You Can't Leave Behind (2000)这张新专辑保留了 60 年代节奏蓝调的曲风，在某些方面与 The Beach Boys 的经典名作《Pet Sounds》有几分相似。音乐的表现更加自然、合理，重点再度转向鼓，流畅的快感像是工业摇滚吉他节拍贯穿的Elevation。在素材取样过程中，乐队尽量不让这些制作加工盖过弹奏本身，柔缓的切分音形成的鼓乐与旋律性的节奏吉他，慢慢弥漫着灵魂乐感觉。虽然对 Bono 及整个 U2 而言，他们早就不需要这些无谓的虚名，但我仍然由衷地敬佩这位摇滚乐坛老大哥，自1976年在爱尔兰都柏林初次登台，到80、90年代横扫欧美摇滚乐坛、囊括五次美国葛莱美奖(GRAMMY)，然后到了摇滚乐势微的今天，他们一直秉持着对这个世界的关怀与付出，三十多年走来始终如一；虽然他们如今已尽享盛名，不再是当初在酒吧驻唱的地下乐团，但他们对世界的热情依旧激昂，依旧如乐团成立之初时地相信，仅凭着他们几个毛头小孩的力量，可以改变全世界。虽然今天的世界依然混乱自私、贫富不均、恃强凌弱，但他们至少感动了一些人，让这些人中强势的那一群改变了对弱势的态度，也让这些人中相对弱势的那一群，相信在绝望中依旧有力量。我们的世界需要这样坚持理想的浪漫[屏蔽]者，或许你(妳)会嘲笑他们傻里傻气，干的事情总和现实脱轨，但这个世界依然渴望这样的温度，依然需要这样的坚持；当有一天你(妳)遭遇挫败与苦痛的时候，就能体会到，"Don't Give up !"这句话是多么可贵与真实。最后，恭喜《TIME》选择了 Bono 作为 2005 年的风云人物，让曾经年轻冲动、傻里傻气的摇滚乐迷们心中再次燃起了那仅剩的火花；也感谢 U2，感谢你们陪着我们走过所有年轻岁月，感谢你们30年来依旧朴实、依然用热情拥抱世界、坚持理想。PS：唉，Bono 依旧像是很久以前一位乐评人：不用化妆就像黑手档。= =，以前刚看找片的时候，我还以为这帮人，是北爱尔兰共和军哪！（这句超搞，哈哈！） [attachment=803489] 盖茨夫妇与U2主唱当选《时代》周刊05年度人物
