A suicide bomber in Carbul has killed at least 12 people including a young child and enjured about 50 others one of the worst acts of insurgent violence to hit the Afghan capital since the Taliban government was driven from office in 2001. Correspondent Benjemine Sent reports from VOA south news bureau in Islamabad. The attack occured just outside the interier ministry in the Afghan capital Saturday morning. The ministry spokesman Zemerigh Bershery was inside the building during the attack. He says the bomber was apparently targeting a security check point outside the ministry. He wanted to enter the crowd, that was waiting in front of the compound, our policemen who want them to stop, and suddenly the suicide bomber blew himself up. The blast shocked the entire building the destroyed several nearby shops. Local police sealed the areas and embilences ferry the dead the enjured to nearby hospitals. This is the fifth bomb attack this month alone in the capital which just one year ago was a relatively safe environment. A bombing comes as security deterial rates throughout the country. Brizilian aviation officials say they have located a goal airlines plane that went missing Friday over the Brazilian Amezon after clatting with a smaller executive jet. The plane was found in the nation's Mato graso state about 17 km northwest of the city of Soupalo. It is not clear yet whether any of the 150 people on board survived.

President Bush is keeping up his attack on critics of the war in Iraq with a speech to the reserve officer's assosiation. He defended his decision to topple Saddam Hussein. and again made reference to the leak of a US intelligence report that says fighting in Iraq is creating a new generation of terrorist leaders. The analysis by 16 US intelligence agencies says the war is bringing a deep resentment of US envolvement to the Muslim world. while couterviting supporters for the global Jihardist movement. Mr. Bush says portions of that report would lead to press for political purposes. and have been used by opposition democrats to justify there are cause to bring US troops home. The intelligence estimate also says if terrorists are proceived to have failed in Iraq, fewer people will be inspired to carry on the fight. Mr. Bush says that shows the greatest danger is not the America's presence in Iraq is joining new recruits to terrorist course, he says the greatest danger is that in theAmerican withdraw from Iraq, would inbold the terrorists and help them to find new recruits to carry out more attacks.
