5come5帮你背单词 [ sunset /'sΛnset/ n. 日落 ]

No...... She hasn't, has she?

It's every passenger's nightmare.

Good grief, well then , what did they say?
Trapped in a plane, and the fellow traveler on the phone talking loudly.

Well, look, sending the E-mail next week.......

The nightmare is one stage closer to the reality with Emirate’s decision to start the service from next year
New technology means mobile phone can be used without interfering the aircrafts' instruments. A small GSM base station is fitted to the plane that sent the signals from your mobile phone to a satellite and then to the ground. Keeping power levels on-board the plane, very low.

It's that very low power level that does two things; one is stops the phone from interfering with the avionics on the airplane, that's very important, and also stop the connecting by mistake to the ground network that you flying over because that can cause quite a lot destruction in the ground networks.

Emirate says it's just responding to the demand in offering the new service. Passengers are already making 6000 calls a month on the plane's own phone network and it costs to 5 dollars a minutes. Using their own mobile will cut the cost to $3.50

We got our own research ourselves, and the airlines we're talking to, got their own searches , and we're seeing err, figures of in excess of 50% of 70, 80, percent of aircraft passengers're showing that they're interesting in communicating, using the mobile phones for voices and for texts when they fly.

The problem is, other survey says exactly the opposite. Skytrax shows 84% of frequent flyers are against mobile phones on planes. They don't want to use them and don't want other passengers to, either. It's the story I heard from these passengers on a long haul flight from Los Angeles to New Zealand.

It's annoying, you know, you don't want people on planes having loud conversations when you try to relax.
Sure to hope them on hold of this, err, just nice to get that time to concentrate, probably some of the best work I get done these, on the plane

Emirate is not the only carrier hoping passengers like these would change their mind.

Qantas, Ryanair ,Air France, Vietnam, are introducing similar services. In the end, it will be doesn't matter what passengers think. One estimate says 50% of all airlines will introduce mobile calling within 2 years.

That loudmouth oaf ( ***** ) is coming to a seat near you.
