Virginia Tech’s / announced today that all the students killed on Monday’s campus shooting will receive degrees /. The honors will be handed out during / exercises next month. The school is also attempting to return some sense of normal scene by providing current students’ choices how they wish to complete this / semester. 32 students were killed in that massacre.

Attorney general Alberto Gonzales says he was slightly involved in the firing of eight US attorneys. Gonzales is on Capitol Hill today, discussing his role in the firings, which some democratic lawmakers say were political motivated. Public members of the Senate Judiciary also voiced skepticism of Gonzales’ testimony about his role. Gonzales insists he did nothing improper and that he should keep his job.

Today is a day of remembrance in Oklahoma city. 12 years ago today, 168 people were killed in a bombing of the / federal building. Survivors of the attack gathered at the royal service to remember the event and victims. Public presidential candidate / , who helped guide New York for the 9.11 attack as mayor was among the participants.

Well the FDA is expanding a nationwide pet food recall. Now it includes products with rice protein laced with /, a toxic chemical used to make fertilizers and plastic utensils. It also contaminated another ingredient wheat gluten used by some pet food makers. The FDA is saying 18 animal tests are related to this recall.

Flu vaccine manufacture says they will be ready for the 2007 and 2008 flu season. Officials say a record 132 million dose should be available. The group made its fluid vaccine / at a gathering in Atlanta today. They say that number could be boosted even higher if the federal government approves Australian companies’ application to provide vaccines.
