    The US Senate has approved a bill that would set a deadline for the beginning of withdrawal of American forces from Iraq. The bill which had already been passed by the House of Representatives makes future war funding dependent on the first troops being pulled out from Iraq this autumn. The White House has confirmed President Bush would veto the measure. F. H. reports from Washington.
    Congress is now in a collision course with the President. In the close vote fifty one to forty six largely along party lines, the senate has passed the controversial funding bill. This provides $124 billion for continuing in the war in Iraq on the condition that troops start withdrawing from Iraq at the beginning of October with a goal of completing a pull out by next April. President Bush has strongly rejected the timetable for withdrawal saying he would not accept surrender dates for the war. Ha has said the bill would tie the hands of military to priming them of means to succeed.

    The NATO aligns has said it gravely concerns by Russian moves to suspend participation in the arms treaty limiting conventional forces in Europe. President Putin appeared to link his decision with American plans to put out elements of new missile defense system in Poland and Czech Republic. Here is our diplomatic correspondent Jenison M. “The NATO Secretary General / says the Russian announcement was met grave concern disappointment regret now that’s not quite diplomatic pull side, but certainly is a strong recalls what it seen as a really rather worrying in Russian’s stand.
