Efficient Energy Transformation by Nano Approach

Abstract:Professor Zhifeng Ren is the leader of an interdisciplinary team of scientists from Boston College's Department of Physics. He is a Fellow of American Physical Society (APS) and American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He and his group focus on research activities in nanostructured thermoelectric materials and energy conversion, solar energy harvesting, carbon nanotubes and field emission etc. He along with the other colleagues at BC and researchers at MIT, GMZ Energy, and Nanjing University are recognized for achieving a nanotechnology milestone: A dramatic increase in thermoelectric efficiency. He has co-authored eight papers in Science, Nature, Nature Nanotechnology and Nature Methods and his technical papers have been cited for about 6000 times.
