I can't believe I am looking for Fuji in the middle of a typhoon. I have three more days to go before I have to leave back for the States. And hopefully between now and then I will be able to see the mountain. The mountain dominates everything and you can easily see how people would come to worship the mountain. These festivals called Fire and Water Festivals are to sort of appease the mountain, give/ celebration and gifts to the goddess among Fuji so that she would not destroy them. Climbing on Fuji is a mind exercises. It's really mind of a matter more than anything. There is a word they use/ , it's called gan-ba-tei (日语：加油), which is persevere. Persevere is a big word in Japanese culture and language. So the original purpose of climbing on Fuji was as a religious Pilgrimage.
I think it's always a kind of amazing event when you have climbed for 12 hours, or whatever, and you come up, / you see this gorgeous sunrise. It's just really as quite an emotional event.

This is / sort of amazing equals towards lash adventure----amusing park national bonding experience and there is a whole group of people who operate or who live on the mountain for about six to eight weeks at the time. That make/ this adventure possible for the 400,000 plus people that climbed it during that 6-week/ period. How do they get the food up there? Or there has vending machines at the top of the mountain? How are the cans and sodas brought to the top? Obviously there are some vehicle/ that has to bring it to the top, and that is the bulldozer, so.

During the season, they have bunch of groups that come and clean up the mountain, because you know a lot of trash and litters left and this is just their civic duty kind of thing and work taking pride in their most valuable asset/ which is mount Fuji.
