Is Britney Spears going to be on?

There was a rumor that I heard that she was gonna be on the show and the second I heard that, I thought how in the world do you walk Britney Spears into the Emmy telecast. And I don’t know the answer to that. I do not see it in the rundown. / I have not been told I have to do anything for Britney Spears.

However, I was down there today, you know, it's typical panic and there are close doors and people running around. So I don’t know, if she is going to be on, I assume I’m not a part of it because I don’t know anything about it.

The American Idol judges Simon Cowell and others said they could take her under their wing for 6 months and give you a new Britney Spears. Think So?

When we were sitting in a press conference in San Diego during the American Idol Auditions / the other day, Sam said he'd like to manage her and I say come on,guys, let’s do it. I think she is in a position to have one of the greatest come-backs / a pop star has had the opportunity to have, you know, she clearly somebody that can perform that can do it and she cans a record, she has done that. The question is what would she get back to that place. There are some people we are waiting for it but that you know that look like it was a slow motion.

Why do you think she did that?

God, there,therewhy do I think she has done a lot of things over the last few months. I don’t know, I think she probably felt like she was ready and when you watch it you get the sense that she may have need another week or so to get ready for that telecast.
