So,first of all,I really loved the Wizard of Oz.You know, What impressed me the most was Judy Garlon and her three friends. And one was a tinman, one was a Lieut.The tinman was acturally very weak. And so I felt he was similar to my personality.

"Well, you're perfect now.
My neck,my neck....perfect? Bang on my chest if you think I'm perfect. Go ahead, bang on it!
Beautiful! What a nickel?

You know, I felt that, I was him. I related to his character, so later in the story, he became very strong. So he gave me a lot of encouragement. My favorite was the scence-saw of the film. Over the rainbow, over the rainbow, gives me great emotional support. But for me, it means at the rainbow's end, there is still a very beautiful world.The pelple should not give up their hope.They should forever endlessly work hard to find hope. And at that time when I was living in environment which is so difficult, it gave me great encouragement.

When I was about 5 years old, my whole familywas moved from China to HongKong. And at that time,we were very poor,we lived at the scored area Sekimay, and slept on the street. I lived in that poverty until I was 9. I never had a chance to the go the elementary school. And later we receive a help from christian church and an American family. The American family sends money to the church for my education. At that time, I really loved watching movies, and I enterd the world of films.

Besides opera films, I watch a lot of martial arts films, especially the "Huang Feihong" films. It was because I fell the place I lived just like hell. The line was very dark and grey, and very hopeless. Because I was living in the world full of evil and sins. In cinemas, and in church, that was only my only refuge.

Jiang Wu has never forget the transcendance the song somewhere over the rainbow was his violent childhood.He used contemperary version of the song in his film Face-off.
