Terror's Advocate is a new documentary directed by Barbet Schroeder. It explores the mysterious life and times of Jacques Jacques Vergès, a well-known French lawyer who has defended some rather remarkable clients among Klaus Barbie, the butch of /, a famous Nazi war criminal and C, the man is Wayland-born terrorist responsible for some of the bloodiest attacks on European soil in the 1970s.
If these movies were political thoroughly, you might have trouble believing it, as a student he was friends with the young Cambodian who eventually became Pope Part. During the Algerian War he had not only defended a number of bombers and militants, but he also married one of the most famous of them \\. And what Schroeder does which I think makes this such interesting and rich documentary is he doesn't either overtly attach or defend Vergès, he just lets him talk and supplies him with enough rope and enough\time to entangle himself in evil and barbarism.
